Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermen's Association

The Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fishermen's Association is a nationally recognized, non-profit organization that works to develop and implement creative solutions that promote healthy marine ecosystems, strong fishing businesses and thriving coastal communities. It is taking action now to make sure there are fish and fishermen for future generations. CCCHFA is the leading voice for commercial fishermen on Cape Cod, working with more than 120 independent fishing businesses and 300 local fishing families.

Cape Cod Fisheries Trust

The Cape Cod Fisheries Trust protects the future of Cape Cod's historic fishing industry by purchasing fish quota it then leases to the local fleet at half the market rate. The program works proactively to stabilize our fishing communities, foster the entry of young fishermen into business, improve conservation performance and data collection, increase fishing profits, and ensure long-term resiliency in the local seafood economy. CCFT is leading a national movement towards more sustainable fishing resources and communities through this type of transition to community ownership and management of fisheries quota.
